Effective Teaching
To be effective, teaching is more than the techniques we use. It includes building a safe learning environment where students can take risks and involve themselves in the learning process. We have provided a sub-section about safe, inclusive learning environments that will assist you to think through the ground rules and processes to consider for your class. In addition, we have included a sub-section about facilitating student interaction with a focus on classroom discussion and small group work.
