MGMT 3810 – Family Business
TR 2:00 - 3:20 - Fall 2015
UNT-Main Denton Campus
This new course is designed to accomplish the following main objectives:
1. To help students identify a viable opportunity for a business design.
2. To provide students specific tools to design a business and the skills to execute a plan.
3. To increase students' involvement in the community through entrepreneurial activities.
Besides the hands on experience of designing a business, the following topics are covered in order to provide the skills needed:
Economic and environmental context
Financial literacy
Motivation and leadership
Ethics in free enterprise
Business idea generation
Project execution.

Courses at the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) in McKinney
The College of Business, Department of Management will offer a few classes at the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) in McKinney. The CHEC may be a more convenient location for you to take some of your classes. It is considered an extension of the main UNT campus, so you register for CHEC courses the same way as you would for your other classes. And, parking at the CHEC is close to the building and is free.
