Electronic Security

Electronic security is a component of our organization used to ensure facilities are able to conduct their business in secure environment.

MISSION
The mission of electronic security is to provide the tools and methods to both facility and personnel protection.

CAPABILITY
There are many electronic security devices available, and many more applicable uses. In regard to providing to access control, some of the available devices are: burglar alarms, counterfeit detection, gates, intercoms, metal detectors, and perimeter protection. In regard to personal protection, some of the available devices are: electronic article surveillance, explosive transport, vehicle search, and x-ray scanners. Fire detection and surveillance devices are also in use.

POLICY
The implementation of electronic security is governed by U.S. Code, Department of Defense regulations, Navy instructions and regulations, and facility specific procedures.

RESPONSIBILITY
Electronic security is responsible to both the installation which they support, and also to the region.
