Biography
Dr. Teresa Conover has been a member of the College of Business Administration faculty since 1989. Her educational background includes a BS from the University of California at Davis, an MBA from Oregon State University and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. She is a CPA, licensed in the State of Texas. Dr. Conover has had the honor of serving as a faculty intern for Ernst & Young International in their London office and as a Visiting Scholar at the London School of Economics. She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Accounting Association, the International Association for Accounting Education and Research, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Beta Alpha Psi. She served as the President of the American Accounting Association International Accounting Section for the 2000-2001 year and is currently the Program Chair for the upcoming Beta Alpha Psi annual meeting. She will also serve on the Beta Alpha Psi International Board of Directors starting in August 2005. She specializes in teaching financial and international accounting and has taught accounting since 1985. She has taught at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. She has received seven teaching awards and has been nominated for several others. Her research interests concentrate on financial and international accounting. She has numerous journal articles either published or forthcoming in national and international accounting and business law journals. Her work is widely cited including a cite by the head of the Polish equivalent of the SEC regarding international accounting education.
