The UNT Real Estate Program has been ranked as one of the top 10 real estate schools in the Nation. Your input and participation are critical to continuing this success. The UNTREAA is open to all alumni and friends of UNT who desire to stay involved with UNT Real Estate activities.

UNT Real Estate Professorship Endowment Fund

The goal of this project is to raise $1 million in gifts, life insurance proceeds, pledges, partial ownership in real estate deals, and/or estate planning gifted funds to supplement and support top quality real estate education at UNT. The interest and returns will be used to supplement faculty’s salaries and/or research. This $1 million Endowment Fund will yield approximately $40,000 annually to attract a highly qualified scholar to a named Chair. The Real Estate Alumni Association wishes to name the Chair in honor of Dr. John Baen. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is being drafted with Dr. John Baen proposing a personal donation of $100,000 from his estate when $400,000 in donations has been collected for this worthy cause.

In the past UNT has been fortunate to attract exemplary faculty in the area of Real Estate who, in turn, have helped to build the department’s reputation and produce outstanding graduates. However, the Real Estate Department is approaching a crossroads. All of the Real Estate classes are at their maximum capacity and in the largest classrooms available. The UNT Real Estate Department’s reputation has gained recognition nationally and internationally…with only three full-time professors!
