StudyMate
StudyMate helps students "master the basics" of course material through learning activities, self-assessments, and games. A dozen activities – such as flash cards, crosswords and quizzes – engage students with course content in an individualized way.
There are two options for using the StudyMate product; StudyMateAuthor or StudyMate Class. The functionality and content creation output is the same product for the student. The difference is how the faculty member wants to create and deploy the content. To see a comparison chart visit the StudyMate Site.
StudyMate Author
A Windows-based tool that enables instructors to create learning activities that students access within online courses (Bb) or anywhere on the Internet. To download the application for StudyMate Author, you will need to log into Blackboard and in the Teaching Support tab you will see the .exe file for StudyMate along with the installation password.
StudyMate Class
A web-based version that resides within the online course (Bb). Instructors and students can create items collaboratively; student participation can be monitored and graded.
