Constitution and Citizenship Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men recognizing all who, are born in the U.S. or by naturalization, have become citizens. On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created. Constitution and Citizenship Day is observed each year on September 17 to commemorate the signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787, and “recognize all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.”

A school that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year must hold an educational program on the United States Constitution on September 17 of said year for the students served by the school. Celebrate Constitution and Citizenship Day through on and off campus activities, learning, parades and demonstrations of our Love for the United State of America and the Blessings of Freedom Our Founding Fathers secured for us.
