Who is a post-baccalaureate student?

You are considered a post-baccalaureate student if you have completed the equivalent of a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college or university prior to enrolling at UNT Dallas.  Post-baccalaureate students can take courses to earn an initial teacher certification, earn a second bachelor's degree, prepare for graduate or professional school, or for personal enrichment.

Post-baccalaureate:  Second Bachelor

In this status, post-baccalaureate students may register for courses leading to another bachelor's degree - this includes students pursuing initial teacher certification.  A current list of bachelor degree programs offered at UNT Dallas can be viewed in Academics - Degree Programs. Students applying in this status may have additional requirements based on the program chosen.  Students in this status may apply for financial aid.  Complete the UNT Dallas Second Bachelor's Degree Application.

Post-baccalaureate:  Non-degree

In this status, post-baccalaureate students may register for undergraduate courses and/or select graduate courses with permission from the department offering those courses.  These courses are generally intended for professional enhancement and not taken in the pursuit of a degree or certification.  Typically, graduate post-baccalaureate students may transfer up to twelve (12) graduate-level credit hours to a graduate degree program.  Be sure to visit with the Graduate Recruitment Coordinator for more information.  Students in this status are not eligible for financial aid.  Complete the Graduate Non-degree application at ApplyTexas.org.

This status is reserved for students working on undergraduate prerequisites necessary for admission into a graduate program.  Students in this status are not eligible for financial aid.  Complete the Graduate Non-degree application at ApplyTexas.org
