This portion of our website gives you an overview of the services, resources, people, and offices that will play a role in your journey as a UNT Dallas College of Law student. Each of these offices and people has particular responsibilities and expertise that are described here. Yet each of these places and people collaborates with each other and with the faculty of the law school in shaping your experience as a student.

OFFICE OF THE DEAN OF STUDENTS

The Office of the Dean of Students oversees or is the primary point of contact for: student organizations, “student life basics” (such as lockers, ID cards, parking), disability accommodation, and oversight of the student Code of Conduct. In addition, the Assistant Dean of Students, in conjunction with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, oversees the Academic Success Program.

OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR

The Registrar schedules classes and finalizes the academic calendar (working closely with faculty), oversees registration, maintains all academic records and transcripts, and processes academic actions (such as adding and dropping classes).

OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

The Office of Financial Aid provides guidance and assistance to  current students, applicants and prospective students regarding tuition and fees, Cost of Attendance, scholarships, loans and grants.

OFFICE OF STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES

The Office of Student Financial Services is responsible for managing student account information, payments for tuition and fees, installment payment plans, delinquent accounts, 1098 tax reporting, and refunds.

OFFICE OF CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Office of Career and Professional Development oversees the College of Law’s services and programs relating to career and professional development. In addition, because the curriculum is structured to develop practice-related competencies, the Office of Career and Professional Development collaborates with faculty on curricular and co-curricular programs that develop students’ understanding of their own skills and interests, the operational aspects of practicing law, the changing marketplace for legal services, and the range of practice pathways.
