Ingrid Panameno ('16), an aspiring development economist, philanthropist and spring graduate, received a $30,500 Rotary Global Grant that will enable her to study at the London School of Economics and Political Science during the 2016-17 academic year.

After living in El Salvador from ages 2 to 19, Panameno was inspired to volunteer for a nonprofit organization that provides aid to impoverished communities where children face educational barriers.

Panameno, who earned her UNT degree in economics, will pursue a master's degree in local economic development.
