Biography
Cindy has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of USHEALTH Group, Inc. (“USHEALTH”), a majority owned subsidiary of Credit Suisse USA, since March 1999. USHEALTH, through its subsidiaries, develops and distributes individual medical expense and supplemental insurance products to the self-employed market. These products are designed to protect customers from financial hardship due to unforeseen illness or injury and provide peace of mind. Cindy principally focuses on strategic planning, capital management, mergers/acquisitions and product analysis. She oversees a staff of professionals responsible for the treasury, accounting, financial reporting, federal/state tax and reinsurance functions. Cindy also serves as a Director of USHEALTH’s two life insurance subsidiaries. Prior to joining USHEALTH in 1999, Cindy served in various senior accounting management positions with TIG Holdings, Inc. and with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, both multi-line property and casualty insurance companies. Prior to 1991, she was principally employed in public accounting with Ernst & Young and Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). Cindy graduated in 1977 from the University of North Texas with a BBA in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1980 and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute in 1990. She is also a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Cindy and her husband Charlie (also a UNT Alumnus) have been married for 33 years and have two children.
