  • Campus leaders notified of the role and scope of the new System CIO position.

  • Accenture study completed.

April 2011

  • AVC/System CIO started.
  • IT leadership began developing new service delivery model.

June 2011

  • Proposed shared IT organization structure introduced.
  • IT Service delivery framework introduced.

September 2011

  • IT governance design finalized.
  • Performance scorecards were developed for IT.
  • IT conducts soft launch for shared services.

December 2011

  • IT shared services went live with 200 employees.

January 2012

  • ITSS Service catalogue completed.
  • ITSS campus billing methodology approved.

February 2012

  • IT Governance Council considers initial shared IT project.

  • IT budget finalized.

  • Initial Program Management Committee meeting took place.
  • Service Level Agreement with UNT-Dallas finalized for ITSS.
