Anna Pechenina

 

 

Deena McCord is the UNT Policy Specialist. She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy. At the UPO, Deena manages the policy submission, routing, and approval process, to include facilitating policy development workgroups and briefing the Policy Advisory Group. Prior to the UPO, Deena served as a lobbyist at both the state and federal level, and has experience as a technical writer to include drafting legislation, contracts, and grant proposals.

Anna Pechenina is a Ph.D. candidate in the UNT Department of Political Science. Prior to University Policy Office, Anna was actively involved in the Graduate Student Council, where she advocated on behalf of graduate students at UNT to UNT Administrators, State and Federal level officials. It was during her time at GSC that Anna realized the importance of institutional policy. At UPO, Anna is tasked with updating of the policy website, developing and maintaining UPO’s internal policy database, and document management and archival.
