Mean Green XC Held On To Their Ranking At The NCAA Regional Championships
Adams Reclaimed Her All-Regional Honor With A Top-20 Finish

WACO, Texas -The North Texas cross country teams finished sixth in the men’s 10K and ninth in the women’s 6K at the NCAA South Central Regionals this Friday. Senior Jo Adams had the highest finish for the Mean Green crossing the finish line 17th in 21:03.7.
Adams repeated her all-regional honor with her top-20 finish and teammate Charlotte Wilson had a strong race finishing in 26th, barely missing the ranking.
“The men and women had a solid day,” said coach Stefanie Slekis “Having both teams finish where they were ranked by the by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll was a great achievement for our team.”
The Mean Green men moved up seven spots collectively and the women eight from their previous run at the regional championships.
“I’m very proud of how the team took on the new training this fall and stepped up to compete at every race throughout the season,” said Slekis. “This cross country season is just the start of what the Mean Green can accomplish and I’m excited to join the rest of the Track & Field this January.”
