Listen To the Women's Basketball Game Tonight Against SFA!

Nacogdoches (12/7/06) - The Mean Green continues its nine-game road trip with a stop in Nacogdoches against Stephen F. Austin tonight at 7 pm.

North Texas had its two-game winning streak snapped in a loss to UTEP. The Ladyjacks are 5-3 on the year and are coming off a 66-55 win over Tulsa on Tuesday night. They are now 3-1 at home this season. The Ladyjacks have a very notable win this season as they defeated powerhouse Louisiana Tech at home 65-55.

North Texas got its first win of the series with Stephen F. Austin to begin the season last year, but the Ladyjacks have a commanding lead in the series at 25-1. The Mean Green knocked off the Ladyjacks by six last season, but have never won in Nacogdoches. Stephen F. Austin is 14-0 against North Texas at home. The last meeting between the two teams in Nacogdoches was on February 8, 1996. The games on the road for North Texas have been lopsided as Stephen F. Austin has won all 14 games at home by 18 points or more. Of the 26 games in the series, only three have been decided by 10 points or less.

Tricia Lee tied her career-high with 11 points. It marks the second time this season and for her career that she has reached double figures in points. Junior Talicia Sanders reached double figures in scoring for the third time this season making it the 10th time in her career she has done so.

After coming off a school record seven road wins last season, North Texas is 0-4 on the road this season. Its been since the 2003-04 that the Mean Green began the season off winless on the road through the first four games.

The duo of Amber and Sanetra Jackson have certainly been a very important part of the Mean Green’s success this year. Over the past two seasons, when either Amber or Sanetra has scored in double figures, North Texas is 13-5.
