North Texas Faces Drake Tonight

DES MOINES, Iowa - The North Texas women's basketball team continues its road trip as they visit the Drake Bulldogs tonight. The Mean Green is looking to end its five-game losing streak and pick up its first win since the season opener.

Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. and the game can be heard on 88.1 FM KNTU.

North Texas and Drake are meeting for only the second time in series history. The two teams only prior meeting came in 1977. North Texas played the Bulldogs at home in their first season of women's basketball on January 11, 1977. It was a lopsided game as Drake won 75-46 at the Super Pit.

Jasmine Godbolt was named to the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team.

In two games Godbolt averaged 17.5 points and 12.5 rebounds. She notched her a career-high 16 rebounds and scored 18 points against Davidson. It was her 10th career double-double.

She has now scored in double figures in six straight games, tying the longest streak of her career for consecutive games scoring in double figures. It is the first all-tournament selection for Godbolt.

Tamara Torru busted out for her career best game against Tulsa with a career-high 23 points, a career-high 10 rebounds, and her first career double-double. It was her first 20-point game, topping her previous career high of 17 points. Torru had only scored in double figures in five games in the previous two seasons.
