DENTON, Texas - Sophomore forward Jasmine Godbolt was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team and North Texas was picked to finish fourth in the West Division in the preseason coaches poll.

Godbolt, the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year, turned in one of the best seasons by a freshman in over a decade. She notched school records for most double-doubles by a freshman with nine last season to go along with a freshman rebounding record for a single season with 256 boards

Godbolt led all Sun Belt Conference freshman in points, rebounds, field goal percentage, and free throws.

UALR was the unanimous favorite to win the West Division followed by Denver, Arkansas State, and North Texas. Western Kentucky picked up 11 of 12 first place votes and is the favorite to win the East Division. Middle Tennessee was picked second, followed by a tie for third between FIU and South Alabama.

Chastity Reed was the Preseason Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year. In addition to the preseason poll and all-conference teams, the Sun Belt also announced the TV package for the upcoming women's basketball season. The Sun Belt Network will air nine conference games and North Texas is schedule to appear on January 8 at Western Kentucky.

North Texas begins the exhibition season on November 3 against TWU and the regular season on November 12 at home against Stephen F. Austin.
