Mean Green Host Arkansas State At 4:30

DENTON, Texas- After a road loss to ULM on Thursday, the North Texas women's basketball team is trying to protect the home court as they face Arkansas State tonight at the Super Pit. The game-time is set for 4:30 p.m as the Mean Green looks for their second straight home win.

Arkansas State enters the game after a nine-point loss on the road at Denver on Wednesday night.

North Texas and Arkansas State will meet for the 26th time in series history. The Red Wolves hold the edge over North Texas 17-8. Arkansas State swept the series last season and has won six of the last seven games against North Texas.

The only win for the Mean Green in the last three seasons against ASU came in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference tournament in 2009. In Denton the Mean Green is 6-7 against Arkansas State, but has dropped the last three games.

Junior Brittney Hudson's last five games have been her best in a North Texas uniform. She has notched back-to-back games of 18 points and Hudson began the run with a career-high 21 points against Middle Tennessee.

In the last four games she has been averaging 13.0 points a game and hitting on 45 percent of her shots in that time. Hudson has scored in double figures in 12 games for her career and back-to-back games for the second time in her career. She has never scored in double figures in three straight games.
