On Tap
North Texas is fresh off of a key win in Little Rock against the UALR Trojans. NT is looking
for its first four-game win streak since early in the 2007-08 campaign and first four-game conference winning streak since the 2001-02 crew that rattled off five straight. The win put
the Mean Green in first place in the Sun Belt West division. The South Alabama Jaguars are coming off a road win against ULL. They boast a 10-6 record and a 3-4 conference mark.

Fresh Start
After notching only one win in non-conference play, the Mean Green has started off 4-2 in
Sun Belt action. This is tied for the best start through six games for the Mean Green in conference play since joining the SBC in 2000. The 01-02, 04-05 and 11-12 teams also share first place with victories in four of their first six league games.

Balling In The Classroom
The North Texas women’s basketball team flexed its academic muscle in the fall semester
of 2012 as 12 of the 15 scholarship players finished the semester with a GPA of 3.0 or
higher. Hannah Christian had a perfect 4.0 and earned her way onto the President’s List with a perfect GPA. Acheil Tac is on the Dean’s List with a GPA between 3.5-3.99 while 10 other players made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.0-3.49.

Climbing The Ladder
Laura McCoy notched a career-high 23 points in the win in Little Rock. It is the second time in her career that she has had 20 points or higher with the first coming in the ULM game five days prior. It is also the fourth straight game that a player for North Texas has scored 20 points or more.
