North Texas women's basketball vs. Troy notes (1/12/13)

Sara Stanley recorded her first double-double of the season with a career-high 23 points and 11 rebounds. The 11 rebounds tied a career high.

Alexis Hyder posted her fourth double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds. The 18 points ties a career high.

Loryn Goodwin made her third start against Troy. She was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line, a personal best. She scored 13 points in the first period and finished with 15.

North Texas made the first five field goals of the game to start off the game, 18-1.

North Texas scored a season-high 50 points in the first half. The Mean Green scored a season-low 50 points in the entire game against UTA. The 50 first-half points is the most scored in the first period since North Texas scored 51 against South Alabama in 2008.

North Texas scored a season-high 87 points in the game.

North Texas continued its stellar free-throw shooting against Troy. The Mean Green made 33-of-38 for 86.8 percentage. NT made 17-of-19 free throws in the first period. Loryn Goodwin was a perfect 8-for-8 in the first half. The 33 made free throws is tied for the fifth most in a single game at North Texas.

Three players scored in double figures in the first half. Loryn Goodwin and Alexis Hyder both had 13 points in the first period, while Sara Stanley poured in 11. The trio combined for 37 of NT's 50 points.
