DENTON, Texas - North Texas women's hoops has played in its fair share of close contests since the arrival of head coach Mike Petersen before the start of the 2012-13 season.
In his tenure, the Mean Green has been involved in 21 contests that were decided by five or less points with mixed results.
But coach Petersen believes that the lessons learned from so many tight games will pay dividends down the stretch of C-USA play this season. On top of that, he believes it shows that North Texas has the talent to contend with anyone, anywhere and on any given night.
