19th-Ranked Oklahoma State Overwhelms North Texas, 95-47

STILLWATER, Okla. - Early foul trouble and poor rebounding doomed the North Texas women's basketball team against an undefeated, 19th-ranked Oklahoma State team on the road as the Mean Green fell, 95-47.
The loss dropped North Texas to 3-4 on the year and 0-2 on the road. It was also NT's second loss to a ranked opponent, the first coming at home against No. 13 Texas A&M.
The Mean Green led by four early in the game until the two starting NT posts, sophomores Alexis Hyder and Acheil Tac, both left the contest with two fouls a piece. Oklahoma State took advantage on the offensive glass, totaling 17 offensive boards to NT's five in the first half.
Despite the disadvantage on the boards, the Mean Green climbed to within four, 26-22, before the Cowpokes closed out the first half on a 20-4 run.
North Texas, down by 20 at the half, could not forge a comeback as the 19th-ranked Cowgirls overwhelmed the Mean Green down the stretch.
Freshman guard Candice Adams, matched up against one of the top field generals in college basketball in senior Tiffany Bias, put together the best performance of her career. She tied a career high with nine points and tacked on two assists with a steal and zero turnovers while running the point.
North Texas stays on the road when it travels to Arlington, Texas, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, for a 7 p.m. matchup with regional rival UT-Arlington.
