  • Director, Emergency Preparedness & Insurance Management: Brad Scott
  • Assistant Director, Emergency Programs: Justin Stewart
  • Emergency Management Continuity of Operations Planner: Brandon Turturro

Emergency Management at UNT is focused on creating a culture of preparedness and enhancing the University’s ability to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from those events that threaten life, property, and university operations.

Culture of Preparedness = Individual Preparedness, Departmental Readiness, Institutional Resiliency

Often times, large scale emergencies and disasters require individuals to take an active role in protecting themselves and those around them. Because of this, a collaborative and inclusive approach is taken during all planning processes. This ensures those involved with the initial response to emergencies are also involved with the planning process and are aware of actions to take when minutes or seconds count.
