Panopto
Panopto is a lecture capture tool that allows for an enhanced student learning experience and increased instructional efficiency. Record your screen, audio, and video content in the classroom or from your desktop, laptop, or iOS device. Content is easily uploaded to your Blackboard course. Students can pause, search, review, and add notes to lectures based on their individual learning needs.

What Will You Do With Panopto?
To get started follow this link and fill in the form with your information. You will be asked for contact information, course section information, and expected recording locations. You will also be able to schedule your Panopto introduction. The information you provide will allow us to determine any equipment requirements or additional IT support you may need to use the system successfully wherever you are.
Using Panopto is a great way to help students get more out of lectures and special events. For best implementation, CLEAR requires a minimum of two weeks' notice to set up Panopto for use. The requestor's Panopto introduction should be completed one week before anticipated recording.

Accessibility Information
Panopto offers accessibility features that allows users to easily navigate and read the Panopto web interface. The web interface supports screen readers for all available creator and viewer interfaces. The web interface also support keyboard access, allowing you to use the tab key to access all available functions. All sessions fully support adding and displaying captions.
When is captioning needed?
- If the sole means of distributing the content takes place via audio or video podcast, captioning or a transcript must be provided as an equivalent alternative for students with visual or auditory disabilities. For example, if you are teaching an online course and you are using a recorded video lecture content as the sole means of distributing content to enrolled students, then you must provide captioning.
In addition, if a recording will be saved and reused in future courses, captioning is also required. - If the audio or video podcast is an alternative form of content that was already disseminated to students through classroom lecture or other text-based content, no transcript or captioning is required.
