Insurance and Claims

The Insurance and Claims division is responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the University's diverse risks.  Our goal is to provide information that will enable our University as a whole to effectively manage potential exposures facing faculty, staff, students and visitors through the sharing of knowledge, education, and training.  Our main responsibilities include: 

  • Identifying and analyzing risks
  • Implementing and evaluating loss control techniques
  • Mitigating risks through insurance policies

Our insurance consist of a wide range of risks such as Athletic Injury, Programs for Minors, Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Automobile, Mobile Equipment and Certificates of Insurance including a Tenant User Liability Insurance Program (TULIP) associated with special events. 

Notary Publics are also available across campus for University business use.
