Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Chairman and Ranking Mmber of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today announced details of the committee’s markup of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017. The committee on Thursday voted, 23-3, to report the bill, which authorizes $602 billion in funding for the Department of Defense and the national security programs of the Department of Energy.
