In 2018, Seattle will get a new, south-facing waterside park at the foot of Northeast Boat Street. The Seattle Parks and Recreation department plans to restore the Lake Washington shoreline by removing large pavement structures, cleaning up contaminants, and restoring native plants.

In today’s fast-paced tech environment, where fitness and health are highly valued, applications based off user-generated data are exceedingly popular. A UW research team recently interviewed 18 patients, 21 health care providers, and surveyed 211 additional patients in order to question the effectiveness of such apps in patient-provider relationships.
