Public Outreach - Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Ecological Services (OES) Public Outreach Coordinator provides information on Service activities to the print and electronic media and directly to the public through a variety of outlets. This individual also coordinates with a variety of other partners, both within and outside the Service, State-Wide.
Although the functions and responsibilities of each of the OES "program areas" (i.e., Federal Activities, Partners for Wildlife, Endangered Species, and Environmental Quality) are somewhat discrete, all OES staff, including Administrative personnel, maintain a broad knowledge base concerning the full spectrum of Ecological Services and other Service responsibilities. Staff working primarily within one program may be assigned to tasks in any of the other areas of responsibility, depending upon comparative workloads and individual skills, interests, and expertise. All staff also are assigned Public Outreach duties related to their area of expertise.
