No. 4 UCLA holds on for narrow 83-82 win at Utah
Lorenzo Ball had 17 points, eight assists and six rebounds, helping No. 4 UCLA edge Utah 83-82 on Saturday.
Eamonn Brennan ESPN Staff Writer
A day full of narrow but nonetheless impressive conference escapes rolls on with UCLA, which didn't play its best basketball in a supremely hyped-up Huntsman Center and still got out with a one-point win over Utah. Which would have been an unfathomable thing to write about the Bruins this time last year. But here we are.
Bruins are enjoying life downtown
UCLA's 3-point shooting was excellent at Boulder on Thursday night. Bryce Alford is hitting 63 percent on 3s in conference play heading into Saturday's visit to Utah.
Alford erupts for 37, No. 4 UCLA beats Colorado 104-89
Bryce Alford scored a career-high 37 points, hitting nine of UCLA's 19 3-pointers, and the fourth-ranked Bruins beat Colorado 104-89 on Thursday night.
Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer
Bryce Alford has 37 points after making 9 of 12 3-pointers against Colorado, a school record for 3-pointers. Has any player made a more dramatic turnaround this season? Lonzo Ball changed everything for Alford. He's on fire right now. Blossoming off the ball.
Lonzo ball has makings of top draft pick
Chad Ford and Kevin Pelton take a look at who their top-5 picks would be if the draft were held today. UCLA's Ball takes the top spot for Pelton, but who does Ford currently have slated at No. 1? Top players for the No. 1 pick (Insider)
Lunardi has UK back as a No. 1 seed
Kentucky is back as a top seed in Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology, joining Kansas, Villanova and UCLA as the top seeds. Bracketology
Purdue's Caleb Swanigan joins Wooden Watch race
Purdue sophomore Caleb Swanigan is the nation's leading rebounder, and he has posted four 20-point, 20-rebound games so far. Those kind of numbers won't go unnoticed by Wooden Award voters.
Wooden Award list includes Trimble, 4 newbies
The John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 features one familiar face from last season -- Maryland's Melo Trimble -- as well as four new additions.
Bilas Index: Bruins ranked No. 2
UCLA averages a D-1 best 22.8 assists per game, notes Jay Bilas. While Lonzo Ball receives most of the hype, TJ Leaf is also a very special player. Top 68 (Insider)
Glitz and glamour return to UCLA
After a 15-17 season, Steve Alford's seat was hot. Lonzo Ball and T.J. Leaf have transformed the Bruins this season with a top-five ranking and an exciting style. Midseason illustrated guide

An (illustrated) look at college basketball so far
First rule: Don't let Duke out of your sight. Something will happen. The Blue Devils aren't the only story. There's UCLA's return, Villanova's repeat hope and Gonzaga's perfect run. Let's reset.
The official 'college football is over and it's time for basketball' primer
College football is done. You're ready to go headfirst into hoops. Where to start? UCLA's Lonzo Ball, for one. And Baylor's rise, and all the 3-pointers. Oh, and Duke. Always Duke.
Bruins steady in Power Rankings
UCLA didn't move after home wins against Cal and Stanford last week. The Bruins seek their first Pac-12 road win at Colorado on Thursday. Power Rankings
