Recognized as one of the top four RV parks by Military Campgrounds, Mayport’s RV Parks offer both short-term and extended-stay facilities. The Pelican Roost and Osprey Cove parks provide a relaxing atmosphere with the “best of the best” in scenery, amenities and customer service. A short walk from the Pelican Roost takes you to one of the most pristine stretches of beach in northeast Florida. Recreation opportunities are nearly limitless aboard Naval Station Mayport and throughout the greater Jacksonville area.
Nestled along the historic jetties at the mouth of the St. Johns River, the “Roost” features 50 full-service RV sites including cable TV and wireless Internet access. The Pelican Roost lodge offers restrooms and showers, a retail store, kitchen and laundry. Six fully equipped 30-foot travel trailers are also available for rent on site with air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave and restroom with shower. The rental travel trailers sleep up to five. Pets and smoking are not permitted in rental trailers. Dry camping and tent camping are also available with access to all Roost amenities. The Pelican Roost is a short-term park with a maximum reservation of 14 days. Extensions may be granted on a space-available basis.
Osprey Cove, Mayport’s newest park, is situated in a quiet, wooded location and features 50 additional full-service RV sites. The “Cove” is an extended-stay park. Reservations are accepted for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of six months. Month-to-month extensions may be granted on a space-available basis.
Eligible patrons include Active Duty, Military Reservists, National Guard personnel, Military Retirees and Department of Defense employees. Active Duty, Military Reservists and National Guard personnel may make reservations up to six months in advance. Military Retirees may make reservations up to four months in advance and Department of Defense employees make may reservations up to two months in advance. Active Duty are permitted to sponsor up to two guests at Pelican Roost year-round. All other eligible patrons may sponsor up to two guests at Pelican Roost from May 1 through October 1. Sponsorship is not permitted at the extended stay park, Osprey Cove.
