The Navy Housing Services Center is operated by the Navy. Housing at Naval Station Mayport is Privatized & our Partner is Balfour Beatty Communities. Our offices are co-located in Building 289 on Moale Avenue, the corner of Moale Ave. and Maine St. Our office hours are 0800-1700 Monday through Friday. The partner is also open extended hours on Wednesdays from 0800-1900 (except Federal Holidays) and Saturdays by appointment. We are both closed on Federal Holidays & weekends. (**) Currently there are limited homes available for O4-O6 referral / assignment based on replacement. The demolition phase is complete and new construction in progress. Currently, we anticipate the first of these new homes to come on line and referral to begin for the June 2011 timeframe. Stay tuned to this site or contact us for updates on the replacement phase and impacts.

An applicant's control date on the waiting list is determined by the date of detachment from their last PDS (permanent duty station) prior to reporting to this area. In order to keep that date, you must apply in person no later than 30 days after you've reported to your new PDS. If application is made after 30 days, the control date will be the date of application/submission.

Service members are to report to the Navy Housing Services Center to complete a housing application package. Our Referral Assistants will review for eligibility and determine your entitlement at which time you may be referred to BBC for assignment based on availability. To apply for Balfour Beatty Communities housing, we require the following documents: A completed DD Form 1746 (Housing Application), a copy of your orders to the NS Mayport area, a copy of your Page 2 or RED (Record of Emergency Data) or USCG 4170 A and CNIC Housing (FH/BH/PPV) Sex Offender Policy Acknowledgement & Disclosure (2/11) form. If you are arriving on PCS orders you will need your loss/gain sheet. USMC WEB Orders are not accepted. The DD Form 1746 is available at most Military Family Housing Offices worldwide, or at the website https://www.housing.navy.mil. Application packages may be faxed, attached to an email, or mailed to us. Let us know how we can help you and your family. Our phone/fax numbers are listed above. Balfour Beatty Communities/PPV Housing - Maximum of two pets per household are allowed. All pets must meet the requirements established in accordance with Balfour Beatty Communities Resident Guide. If you have any further questions, contact the Community Management Office (CMO) at (904) 270-8870.

Children in PPV Housing attend the following schools: Joseph Finnegan Elementary - (904) 247-5996 or Mayport Elementary - (904) 247-5988, Mayport Middle - (904) 247-5977 or Duncan Fletcher Middle - (904) 247-5929-, Duncan Fletcher High - (904) 247-5905. The NS Mayport School Liaison Officer (SLO) can be reached at (904) 270-6289 ext. 1305. Also magnet programs are available in 56 different schools, Duval County's nationally recognized magnet programs offer every student the chance to customize his or her learning experience. Students can choose from over a dozen separate and distinct areas of study, and then pursue their interests with special programs developed just for students like them. Magnet schools are open to virtually all Duval County students, regardless of income, grade level or residential zone. Community housing is available and affordable. Rental Partnership Program (RPP) assistance for housing in the private community is available at reduced rents. Our office has available property lists from various combined military and civilian resources. Lease and purchase agreement counseling. Visit the Automated Housing Referral Network (AHRN) at http://www.ahrn.com. This is a simple, effective DoD website that provides information on available private rentals, pictures, maps, local schools, shared rentals, temporary lodging and military for sale by owner listings that can be viewed from any computer. ALTHOUGH ADVANCED RENTAL INFORMATION MAY BE OBTAINED THROUGH OTHER SOURCES, IT IS STRONGLY ADVISED THAT YOU DO NOT SIGN ANY RENTAL CONTRACT OR LEASE AGREEMENT BEFORE PERSONALLY VIEWING THE DWELLING.

Customers receive an array of housing assistance to help simplify their home search and other services as follows: 

• Maintain a current housing wait list that is available to view in the lobby
• Telephones, photocopy, and facsimile machines are available without charge.
  
• Counseling for special needs.
  
• Landlord/tenant counseling and mediation to help resolve complaints.
  
• The Commissary and Main Exchange are adjacent to Ribault Bay Village and Marsh Cove Housing Communities, minutes from the installation itself.

• NGI&S (Navy Gateway Inns and Suites) have rooms available to the suitcase traveler (TAD/TDY), Service Members & families on PCS orders and Space A. NO PETS ARE PERMITTED in the NGI&S Facilities. Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) Overview

Naval Station Mayport has 1400 permanent party/shipboard spaces located at Hayward Hall, Halsey Hall, MCPON Delbert D. Black Hall, Building 2234, 1586 and 1587. Space is available to shipboard personnel E1-E4 less than 4 years of service and E1-E3 permanent party/rotational personnel.

All E5 through E9 personnel and Officers are referred to the Housing Office for referral to Balfour Beatty Communities, referral services and rent reduced programs in the local community.

Resident Advisors are only authorized as needed to maintain a senior military presence in Bachelor Housing and may have a waiting list. It is advised that you call ahead for availability and application process.

Geographical Bachelors are only housed if space is available.

All Bachelor Housing facilities are within walking distance to the NEX, Galley, Base Gym, Bowling Alley, and other single Sailor places of interest.
