Detailed information: The subject of the meeting is as follows: identify and investigate alternative technologies and practices that may be applied to further reduce the risk of groundwater contamination in sensitive areas of Kewaunee county and the state - focusing on karst geology overlain by shallow soils; continue discussions regarding issues raised in the Sensitive Areas / Best Management Practices Work Group that were not resolved; evaluate the effectiveness of practices being applied in sensitive areas and suggest alternatives if necessary; and evaluate and suggest additional research that may be warranted to better derive effective solutions to reduce the risk of groundwater contamination in sensitive areas.

Detailed information: This is the fourth meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for revisions to the beneficial use of industrial byproducts rule (ch. NR 538 Wis. Adm. Code). The TAC provides input and advice to the DNR on potential revisions to the existing rules governing the beneficial use of industrial byproducts such as coal combustion residuals, foundry sand and paper milling byproducts. This meeting will focus on potential revisions to the Appendix I tables and s. NR 538.10 Wis. Adm. Code.

Detailed information: The public is invited to join the Department of Natural Resources staff and other members of the CWD Response Plan Review Committee to discuss and assess the first five years of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources 2010-2025 Chronic Wasting Disease Response Plan. The CWD Response Plan Review Committee will revisit the current CWD Response Plan and discuss research and disease management in Wisconsin. The review committee consists of several governmental agencies and key partner organizations with an interest in CWD management in Wisconsin. This public involvement process is being coordinated jointly by DNR, the Wisconsin Conservation Congress and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
