Lightweight clothing and rainwear during the wet season in coastal areas. Waterproof clothing is advisable all year round. Warm clothing should be taken for higher altitudes. Summer clothing is recommended as it is mostly warm year round. Further inland and in higher elevation the temperature is more temperate.Though hurricanes seldom form in the Pacific, they rarely affect the country. Dry season extends from November to April. This season is identified locally as summer or verano.

Is located about 3 miles from the coast. Occasionally, there will be smoke in the air, from volcanic activity. The weather is fairly warm, year round with temperatures in the mid 60s before sunrise.
