Region VII: Mission Support Division

This page provides information about the Mission Support Division.

The Mission Support Division has over 40 full-time employees who provide assistance to the entire regional workforce. We are committed to providing efficient, effective, and timely service.

The Mission Support Division is responsible for delivering start-to-finish business solutions and customer-focused services to the regional office and disaster staff in support of FEMA's mission.

To more effectively support these business operations, our division is organized into three branches: Administrative Services, Support Services, and Information Technology.

Administrative Functions (Administrative Services Branch)

Our staff includes specialists in areas such as contracting, hiring and staffing, finance, budget and record-keeping.

The Administrative Services Branch provides the essential functions of managing budget, human resources, financial support and management, acquisition operations, records management and other administrative services for the region and disaster site operations.

Facilities Functions (Support Services Branch)

Our staff includes individuals serving in areas such as building management, shipping and receiving, and equipment and supply management.

Support Services provides facility management and lease management, mail program management, parcel shipping/receiving, equipment and property management, and safety and supply services.

Technology Support (Information Technology Branch)

Our team of technology experts consists of individuals with various backgrounds and skill-sets, whose combined goal is to provide timely technical assistance to employees within the region and at disaster sites.

The mission of the IT Branch is to maintain and support hardware, software and network resources, and increase efficiency and productivity as we strive to support employees and the technology tools they use every day.

External partners who provide support and assistance to FEMA can request access to FEMA resources via the FEMA Electronic Interconnection Security Agreement (eISA) website. This tool enables assistance partners from all levels of government, emergency managers, and planners to request access to FEMA resources to assist in response and recovery efforts.
