Came to visit with my family and another family yesterday evening ....13 people total From the minute we walked in we were treated with excellent customer service and they were very accommodating. I was nervous because I have 3 boys my youngest being 6. I thought the restaurant might be a little too froo froo for my family but it was actually the opposite! The food was excellent and service was impeccable. Thank you to the manager Keegan for checking in on us:) made us feel important we will definitely be returning

I like going here to get fish. But Friday morning when I went one of the fish stations was cutting open bags of frozen shrimps and putting it on display to sell by the pound. My mouth dropped. I thought all their seafood was freshly caught. These bags look like they came from Walmart/sams club or somewhere. I was disappointed. Overall I still like getting my fish from here.

Being a major foodie I was skeptical about trying a new place. I was assured by friends who know my taste that I wouldn't be disappointed. So a group of friends called and made a reservation. Upon arrival not only was a table ready for ten there was no wait time. The table service was incredible. The waiter not only took the time to explain the various dishes he didn't get upset that some of us were ready to order and others not. When the Langston cooler drink I ordered arrived upon the first sip I immediately relaxed in my chair because a good drink for me is a great way to start a meal and if it is right chances are the food is. When the food arrived and I was able to take my shrimp and chicken chorizo pasta I then knew all was well with the world. The bread that came with it was absolutely phenomenal. The meal was extremely filling but something said I needed to try the dessert. I ordered the bread pudding. An accurate description of this dessert would never meet with the joy I received eating it. In closing you guys are definitely doing it right. I wish you had a restaurant in my area. I thank you for a awesome palate experience.

I'm not sure how anyone can rate Ambar less than 5 stars. One of the top dining experiences of my life. The $49 price for unlimited small plates and drinks is unreal. They could charge double that price and it would still be an amazing deal. The ham & cheese crepe was ridiculous. The trout spread amazing. The doughnut pastry bread that's served with all the spreads, unreal. The Forest Gnocchi dessert was a confectionary dream in a bowl. Our server, Stefan, was passionate, incredibly knowledgeable and amplified our dining experience from phenomenal to unforgettable. If you're in the DC area and don't make time to visit Ambar, you're denying yourself perfection.

What a great hidden gem of Georgetown. On Fridays, top comedians from the D.C. area get to work on material in a room that feels like a classic comedy club, with low ceilings and an audience that is there to listen. Comedy is big in D.C. at a time when we need it most. I'd highly recommend the Friday night show if you are a true comedy fan.

Liberation Dance Party on Friday nights is the best party in town! You can actually hear NEW MUSIC, and the crowd doesn't reject stuff they haven't heard before! Awesome!

At ACUMA conference. Ernesto in catering went above and beyond to help me get something to eat after breakfast was over. I asked for a piece of fruit (just a banana). He went to the kitchen and brought me a plate of fruit!! He was wonderful! Talk about great customer service! You need to hire more employees like him! Thank you!

I had a wonderful 4-day stay, however, I had a major issue on my last day. I left my room at 730am to go down for breakfast and a morning seminar. I returned to my room at 10am to find 3 housekeepers in my room having their own little breakfast party! Their cart was blocking my door and the latch was NOT in my door, as it should be when they are in a guests room. Needless to say they were extremely surprised when I walked in! I told them that I had NOT checked out yet - being check out is 12noon - and some of my belongings were still in the room! One maid was sitting on my dresser with a sandwich wrapped in foil opened up on my dresser. The other had her lunch bag opened on one of my beds. The other must've been in charge of making the coffee as their were 4 empty pods in my garbage can, and I had only made one cup for myself earlier that morning. They quickly left the room but not before I watched one of them wipe up the tile foyer with a towel from the bathroom then wiped the counter with the coffee maker on it with the same towel. Gross! Once they left I went into the bathroom to see that they had already taken all of my towels and soap. I had to go out in the hall, find another maid cart down the hall and help myself to soap and a towel. Unnecessary nonsense. I few minutes later I realized that they had taken my newspaper and magazines that I had left on my ottoman - that I was still reading! I also had 3 bottles of water on my desk that they also helped themselves to. When I finally checked out at the front desk, I asked to speak to the Housekeeping Manager. He was very apologetic and hopefully he was able to reprimand these 3 employees. I can understand IF I had already checked out and then ran back up to my room - but I didn't. That room was still mine ....along with my paper, magazines and water! And naturally, they had also taken the tip that I left as well. Keeping in mind that the rest of the room was still unmade. They made themselves comfy and helped themselves to my belongings. Not right! However, this wasn't my first stay at this beautiful hotel so I know that this isn't their "normal" level of service. Just bringing it to your attention - keep your stuff safe because you don't know who is spending time in your room when you're not there!

Dear friends, Against the backdrop of global concern about Russian hackers, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that Facebook supports the use of Russian-made program Kaspersky. FB advises users to download this program to their computers to scan for viruses. This procedure can actually infect computers and open the files to the use of Russians. A week ago I had a similar situation. My access to FB has been blocked and I was advised to check my computer for viruses using several programs. I chose ESET and nothing was found. However, my access to FB has not been restored, and FB requested that I download Russian-made Kaspersky as the only option. I have refused to do this given global concern about Russian hackers. I advised FB about my concerns. Since then FB unblocked my access, however the fact remains that millions of FB users in North America and around the globe may have followed FB's instructions, downloaded Kaspersky and opened their files to Russians.

My family and I went to DC this past weekend and the Washington monument of course was the first thing we could see. The kids were so excited to stand next to it. What a breathtaking view. Would have been better if we could have went to the top. I wonder why they shut it down completely instead of letting visitors that want to climb the stairs to the top.

This is the best book store. We travel to DC often and with every visit we load up on the best, latest, and most interesting books from Politics and Prose. The staff is polite, friendly, and on top of the latest best sellers. If they don't have what I am looking for they will order it and mail it out. It is a must stop for anyone in DC.

Been in DC for 5 days and have had breakfast here 4 of them! I'm the kinda guy who would rather go for a sure thing than gamble that the place 3 blocks down might be better and get a horrible meal. Servers are great and friendly. First time here they asked if we were visiting and what our plans were and recommended we go to the Library of Congress. Wonderful suggestion and we went. Food is good at a descent price and your just around the corner from the DuPont Circle Meteo enterance, so a great way to start a day of sight seeing or hitting all the free museums in town!
