Technology Security and Foreign Disclosure (TSFD) and export control are major factors in any program with international aspects. The Arms Export Control Act (AECA) of 1976 is the governing legislation. The Department of State has published the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to implement the AECA.
ALL PMs IN INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS SHOULD ENSURE THEY HAVE KNOWLEDGEABLE EXPERTS IN THEIR PROGRAM OFFICES ABLE TO ADDRESS THESE TOPICS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
