11/14/2016--Washington, D.C. – Today, the Army informed the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Energy Transfer Partners, and Dakota Access, LLC, that it has completed the review that it launched on September 9, 2016. The Army has determined that additional discussion and analysis are warranted in light of the history of the Great Sioux Nation’s dispossessions of lands, the importance of Lake Oahe to the Tribe, our government-to-government relationship, and the statute governing easements through government property.

10/21/2016--The Regulatory Branch is hosting a webinar Nov. 9, 2016, from 10 a.m. - noon on its fifth version of the Maryland State Programmatic General Permit (MDSPGP-5), which became effective Oct. 1, 2016, and will expire Sept. 30, 2021. The intent of MDSPGP-5 is to provide a streamlined Department of the Army authorization for certain recurring activities in Maryland formerly covered by the Nationwide Permits program that are similar in nature, have minimal individual and cumulative adverse effects on the aquatic environment, and satisfy other public interest review factors.
