Detroit District’s Cat Island project shows early signs of success

GREEN BAY HARBOR, Wis. - The Detroit District’s dredge material disposal facility on Cat Island is proving to be an environmental success as wildlife begins to return to the area.

Straits of Mackinac

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District Regulatory Office issued a nationwide permit verification to Enbridge Pipelines, LLC, on October 18, 2016, which authorizes maintenance to the Line 5 submerged pipeline crossing of the Straits of Mackinac.

Contract awarded for Red Run

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District has awarded a $928,625 contract to RBV Contracting, Inc. of Detroit, MI to stabilize a portion of the north bank of the Red Run drain in Macomb County, MI.
