The following are recent legal proceedings at RAF Lakenheath:
June 2016
On June 9, at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, Technical Sergeant Brandon S. Justice was found guilty by a military judge of multiple specifications of sexual assault. He was charged with Article 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) Abusive sexual contact; Aggravated sexual contact with a child; Article 120b, Sexual abuse of a child; and Article 134; Viewing/possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to reduction to Airman Basic (E-1), a dishonorable discharge, and 47 years confinement. His term of confinement is capped at 35 years in accordance with his Pre-Trial Agreement.
In Oct. 2015, OSI received a formal complaint against TSgt. Justice, alleging various crimes against both child and adult victims in violation of the UCMJ. After questioning, him on Oct. 21, Justice made a number of incriminating statements to investigators. OSI gained the legal authority to search Justice's residence to seize evidence and then, questioned him further. On Oct. 23, based on statements made during multiple interviews and other evidence gathered, Justice was ordered into pre-trial confinement at RAF Lakenheath.

Keith M. Givens, OSI Commander.
This case was investigated by members of OSI Detachment 512.
“The results of this court-martial can be directly attributed to the hard work and combined efforts of the 48th Fighter Wing Legal office and the agents of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations," said Col. David Eaglin, 48th Fighter Wing Vice Commander. "Certainly for the victims, we are grateful the trial resulted in a conviction, and hopefully the outcome will provide the victims and their families with some closure.
