Amite, LA Tangipahoa Parish September 14, 2012 The state of Louisiana conducts applicants briefings in Tangipahoa Parish to review the Public Assistance Programs with municipal and parish officials after damages caused by Hurricane Isaac. Its designed to educate the applicant, not only about public assistance program but also disaster specific situations that may be unique to the area. We outlined a process going forward and they get more information from the state about the disaster its self and the timeline for the process going forward. I know we were doing it during Katrina and we were lost. They've had a lot more information with this meeting, they showed us what forms we need, where to go get them. Thats the problem we had before, we didnt know what forms to get or where to go get them.
