Holloman Public Health traps first West Nile mosquitoes of season
Although mosquito season is coming to a close, the risk of vector borne disease still exists. Recently, Holloman threat assessments for mosquitoes have confirmed a positive presence of the West Nile Virus in some mosquitoes on base. The mosquitoes collected are sent to a DoD entomology laboratory for testing.

Drive-thru flu clinic
The 49th Medical Group set up a drive-thru immunization clinic to make it easier for active duty Airmen to obtain their annual flu shot Oct. 4, 2016. The 49th MDG staff administered the influenza vaccine to hundreds of Holloman Airmen throughout the duty-day.
