Clinics and Services

If you have a question about a clinic that is not listed, please check with your PCM. Services vary from one clinic to another within the AFMS. Those services may include:

Bioenvironmental Engineering


Clinic Description: Bioenvironmental Engineering provides a wide array of services covering occupational and environmental health protection and compliance. Our services range from industrial hygiene surveys, environmental protection and health risk assessments, radiation safety, and emergency response.

Gas Mask Fit Testing (by appointment only):
Tuesdays 1200-1600
Wednesdays 0800-1200
Thursdays 1200-1600

Respirator Fit Testing--by appointment only (member must be medically cleared prior to scheduling appointment).

CE Work Order Review--0800-1600

Clinic Location: Located within the Aerospace Medicine Clinic next to Flight Medicine and Public Health.

Diagnostic Imaging


Routine services are provided on a walk-in basis. Tests not offered at 36 MDG, Andersen AB are usually offered at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam or through a consult to an off-base network

Dental (Active Duty Only)


Clinic Location: From the front entrance, the Andersen AFB Dental Clinic is located immediately to the left upon entrance.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, the clinic is closed every Friday morning from 0800-1000 for training.

Description of Services Offered: Comprehensive dental care to active duty members and to guard and reserve members on orders.

Additionally, they provide 24 hour care for true dental emergencies for all beneficiaries. The phone number to reach the dentist on call after duty hours is (671) 688-1614.

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)


The Air Force Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is designed to provide support to military family members with special needs. All branches of the military offer EFMP, and each Service includes a variety of personnel, medical and family support functions under the EFMP umbrella. Immunizations


Andersen Immunization Clinic offers vaccinations on a walk-in basis to all Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve personnel and dependents with a valid DoD ID card.

Clinic Location: Located in the MDG atrium next to the Dental Clinic on the left hand side.

Hours of Operation: Mon-Thurs 0800-1630 & Friday 1000-1230
Closed for Lunch 1230-1330

Small Pox Briefing and Vaccine Administration: Friday’s @ 1350

TB Skin Test is offered ONLY on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning, and Fridays (not offered on Wed afternoon or all day Thursday)

Family Health


The Family Health Clinic is comprised of an Air Force Medical Home (AFMH) providing comprehensive medical care to Andersen's Active Duty members, retirees, and their dependents. The Family Health Clinic has two Family Practice Physicians, two Family Practice Physician's Assistants, and one Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.

Provides outpatient clinical services for approximately 6,200 active duty, dependents, and retirees ranging in age from newborn to geriatrics.

Does NOT provide EMERGENCY services

Clinic Location: Directly opposite the main entrance of clinic.

Hours of Operation: 0800-1700, Mon-Thurs, Fri 1000-1700

Flight Medicine


Provide care for approximately 1,200 beneficiaries
Includes Navy and CRG
Approximately 3,600 appointments annually

Description of Services Offered:

Provides care for 2992 holders (inactive flyers plus active air traffic controllers and jumpers)
Cares for all deployed personnel to AAFB less than 190 days

Supports CBP, TSP, and all AF flying and joint exercises (COPE NORTH, VALIANT SHIELD)
4A assigned to FOMC. Manages PRP program and is primary MDG PRP representative at Wing (app 50-70 admin certs/yr). Also manages bomber deployed personnel every rotation in absence of FS/IDMT
Responsible for IFC exams, occupational health exams, Fly PHAs, DRAs (as required), and pre-employment physicals (varies)

Manages the INH program and all patients assigned to 36 MDG

Walk-Ins: 0800-1100, 1300-1700

RTFS, 3 day blood pressure checks, Guard/Reserve members dropping off paperwork, PCS, Separation paperwork drop off, TB Test re-reads/positive TB tests, Sore Throat, Pregnancy Tests, Wart Treatment

Laboratory

Mental Health (AD Only)


The 36 MDG Mental Health Flight is comprised of the following elements:

Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Treatment Program (ADAPT), Mental Health (MH) and Family Advocacy Program (FAP). We have 4 active duty providers (3 Clinical Social Workers and 1 Clinical Psychologist), 1 civilian FAP Clinical Counselor, FAP Educator, New Parent Support Home Visitor and FAP Administrative Assistant.

ADAPT provides assessment and treatment of alcohol abuse/dependence for AD personnel. ADAPT also provides education and prevention services to the base population.

MH services include: initial assessment, risk/safety assessments, on-going counseling and psychotherapy for AD personnel. Commander directed evaluations, MTI/MTL assessments and pre-/post-deployment ANAM testing are also provided via the Mental Health Clinic. Walk-in mental health services are available from 0800-1700hrs Monday through Friday. The Mental Health Clinic is closed each Friday from 0800-1000 for training.

FAP services include: initial assessment and treatment for allegations of child or partner maltreatment, neglect, and clinical case management. Other services include: life skills education (anger/stress management, etc.), parenting classes and limited couples counseling.

The FAP educator is responsible for training Key Leadership, base agencies, DODEA personnel, and coordinating FAP outreach activities.

New Parent Support Program offers home visitation to expecting and new parents of children 0 to 3 years of age.

Optometry


  • Glasses orders for active duty and Title 10 Air National Guard members

Hours: Monday through Thursday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 to 5 p.m. Friday 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 to 5 p.m.

Pharmacy


Description of Services Offered: Fill prescriptions from both in-house and outside providers

Physical Therapy/Health Promotion


The Health Promotions Element consists of one (1) Physical Therapist, two (2) Physical Medicine technicians, and one (1) Health Promotions Coordinator. The Andersen Physical Therapy Clinic has implemented the AFMH Model by offering Direct-Access (24 hr) appointments, and revamping the therapist's and technicians' schedules to increase access to care x 70% for 2,500 patients. Initial clinic visits are now booked via the MDG centralized appointment line. The clinic offers spinal manipulations, battlefield acupuncture (Auriculo-therapy), dry needling, and skilled therapeutic exercise instruction and joint mobilization. The Health Promotions Coordinator offers classes for tobacco cessation, nutrition, and organizes outreach events to further educate the base populace.

Public Health


Public Health provides a wide array of services covering occupational health, deployment/travel medicine, community outreach, disease surveillance, education, medical employee health program, vector surveillance, food/public facility inspection, and temporarily food booth applications. Our community outreach services range from Andersen AFB to the local community.

Hearing Tests- (by appointment only), Deployment In/Out Processing- walk in during normal hours of operation, Travel Medicine – walk in during normal hours of operation TB/STI Interview/Education- walk-ins as needed, Outreach Events- by prior coordination only, Temporary Food Booth Applications- Thursday: 0800-1200, MEHP In/Out Processing- walk in during normal hours of operation, BBP Education- walk-in as needed, Fetal Protection Education- walk in as needed, Occupational Health Shop Visits- scheduled OEHWG frequency unless otherwise requested, Food/Facility Inspections- scheduled by AMC frequency unless otherwise requested, Supervisors Food handlers training- scheduled twice a year

Completes patient enrollments, enrollment transfers, and Primary Care Manager assignments/changes

Processes referrals for all patients requiring Specialty Care within TRICARE Network

Patient Travel Services

Coordinates urgent & emergent transport of patients requiring critical care

Medical Records Services

Completes record copy requests and record transfers

Women’s Health & Pediatrics


The Women’s Health & Pediatrics clinics are comprised of one Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, one Pediatrician, 3 Med Techs, and 2 Nurses.

Provides care for approximately 3,600 female patients and 2,000 pediatric patients

Women's Health Clinic offers: Well woman exams, breast exams, colposcopies, birth control counseling, fertility counseling, Obstetrical visits (initial to 40 weeks gestation), dating ultrasound Pediatric Clinic offers: Well child exams (includes sports/school physicals)
