The Secrets of the Black Box

What happened?  It’s a common question after an aircraft mishap and one most often answered by the aircraft’s flight data recorder, commonly known as the “black box.”

In this video, learn how the team from the Common Flight Information Recorder Analysis Lab (CFIRAL) at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., are unlocking the secrets of the black box as they help determine the causes of naval aircraft mishaps.
