HMA Program Guidance (Most Recent)

The Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Program Guidance is a comprehensive document that details the specific criteria of the three HMA programs (Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, Flood Mitigation Assistance and Pre-Disaster Mitigation).

The guidance consolidates the common requirements for all HMA programs and explains the unique elements of the programs.  Additionally, it provides information for Federal, State, terriroty, federally-recognized tribes and local officials on how to apply for HMA funding for a mitigation project.

The program guidance is updated every few years.  Below is the most recent program guidance:
