Naval Station Everett will conduct a security exercise on Tuesday, Sept. 20. Emergency response personnel will exercise procedures for a simulated active shooter attack. Although there will be no gate closures for this exercise, the drill scenario will include simulated gun shots using blank rounds and emergency response vehicles. No real ammunition will be used. The Navy designs such training exercises to improve readiness in preparation for possible real emergencies or disasters. |

The United States Navy Band Country Current, country-bluegrass ensemble is giving a free performance for the Everett community on Friday, Sept. 2 at the Everett Performing Arts Center. The concert will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be issued in person by the Everett Performing Arts Center at no cost. Seating is first come, first serve (unclaimed tickets are released 15 minutes before the show). To inquire about tickets, call (425) 257-8600. |
