The Navy Community Service Awards Program recognizes sea and shore commands in each of the following areas:
- Personal Excellence Partnerships (educational partnerships)
- Environmental Stewardship
- Campaign Drug Free
- Health, Safety and Fitness
- Project Good Neighbor (humanitarian projects)
Refer to BUPERSINST 1650.12D and COMNAVBASENORVA/SOPA(ADMIN)HAMPINST 5350.2 for procedures and deadlines. Nominations must reach COMNAVREG MIDLANT Community Service Office by 31 July annually to be considered.
The Navy Community Service Awards Program recognizes sea and shore commands in three size groups (fewer than 200 personnel, 200-499, and 500+ personnel) in each of the five Flagship areas.
Commands submit nominations to the Geographical Regional Coordinators. The respective Region further nominates winners of regional competitions for Navy-wide awards.
