Colonel Crader is the Commander of the 240th Civil Engineer Flight, Colorado Air National Guard, Buckley AFB, Colo. The 240 CEF is an elite unit of engineers and specialists who assist NAF and MAJCOM (PACAF, NORTHCOM and AFSPC) bases and the state of Colorado with facility design, programming construction projects and project management. During contingency and humanitarian assistance operations, the 240 CEF augments headquarters staff by providing engineer resource management and command and control expertise. The 240 CEF is one of five S-Teams in the ANG.

Colonel Crader is a career traditional Guardsman, receiving his commission through the Academy of Military Science in 1987 and serving with the Colorado Air National Guard since 1989. He has held numerous positions in the 240 CEF during this time. Col. Crader has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008 and headed up a multi-unit S-Team providing humanitarian assistance for Operation Tomadachi in 2011.

Col. Crader is married and has three children and a granddaughter. The family resides in the Denver Metro Area.
