The 39th Operations Support Squadron provides world-class airfield management, radar and airfield systems maintenance, air traffic control and intelligence directly supporting the United States Air Forces in Europe aerospace power operations.

Additionally, weapons and tactics liaisons and scheduling coordinator services are provided for exercises.

Finally, the OSS operates the only American weather station in Turkey enabling-in conjunction with the aforementioned squadron functions- the success of U.S. and NATO flying operations in the alliance's southeastern region.
