This section provides information about select resources for women Veterans. The Department of Veterans Affairs does not sponsor or endorse any non-governmental organization listed. Thousands of national, state, and local resources are available for Veterans, wounded warriors, service members, survivors, their families, and caregivers; search for those best for you on the National Resource Directory.
Veterans of the United States armed forces may be eligible for a broad range of benefits and services provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Some of these benefits may be utilized while on active duty. These benefits are codified in Title 38 of the United States Code. This booklet contains a summary of these benefits.

VA provides primary and specialty health care — including reproductive health care and 7 days of newborn care — to women Veterans. Women Veteran Program Managers are available at each VA medical center nationwide to advise, advocate, and coordinate care for women Veterans. More information is available on the Women Veterans Health Care website.
Items of interest specifically for women at VA:
VA has services for women Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Get information about VA programs and serivces to end homelessness among women Veterans.
MST is the term that VA uses to refer to sexual assault or repeated, threatening sexual harassment that occurred while the Veteran was in the military. Get more information on VA services and benefits related to MST. The Department of Defense (DoD) also provides Sexual Assault Support for the DoD community.
The VHA Office of Rural Health works to optimize the use of available and emerging technologies, establish new access points to care, and employ strategies to increase health care options for all rural Veterans.
Veterans who reside in rural communities that need a ride should contact the Veterans Transportation Mobility Manager at their local VA medical center. Veterans or caregivers can go to the Veterans Transportation Service website and view the appropriate state or scroll down the page for the contact information at participating VA medical centers.

- Women Veterans Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (VWISE)
VA provides an online list of VSOs as an information service by the Office of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Some VSOs have programs for or research on women Veterans, including the DAV .
