National Flood Hazard Layer map

How to View and Obtain Flood Mapping Products

The FEMA Flood Map Service Center (MSC) is the official online location to find all flood hazard mapping products created under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), including your community’s flood map, called a Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM).

Effective FIRMs and any amendments or revisions, such as Letters of Map Change (LOMCs) that apply to them may be accessed through the site’s Address Search. The full range of products is accessible through the Search All Products function. All MSC products and services are available at no cost.

National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL)

The National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) is a digital database that contains flood hazard mapping data from FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This map data is derived from Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) databases and Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs).

Risk MAP Flood Risk Products

Flood Risk Products are non-regulatory resources that greatly help community officials and the public assess, visualize and communicate local flood risk. Flood Risk Products that may be available include Flood Risk Maps (FRM), Flood Risk Reports (FRR), and Flood Risk Databases (FRD).

Preliminary Flood Hazard Data

Preliminary Flood Hazard Data provides the public an early look at the projected risk identified by an in-progress flood hazard study.

Other Flood Mapping Products
